Niobium Silicide NbSi2 has a gray hexagonal crystal and a density (25) of 5.7g/mL (25) with a melting point (1950). Niobium Silicide (NbSi2) can only be dissolved in water and concentrated hydrochloric or sulfuric acid. However, it is soluble when mixed with hydrofluoric acid.

How does Niobium Silicide Ni2 Powder get made?
As raw materials for the graphite furnace, niobium (silicon) and silicon (magnet niobium) are broken down and mixed together. Heating the furnace takes place gradually. Once the furnace reaches 1000 degrees Celsius, the metal will react. Then hydrogen is added to raise the temperature to 1400 to 1900. The reduction furnace can be used to melt silicon metal or niobium peroxide for up to 30 minutes.
Use of Niobium Silicide NBSi2 Powder
Niobium Silicide NbSi2 Powders can be combined together with zirconium dilicate, molybdenum dishilicate and/or tungsten trisilicate in order to make a solid mixture that can then used as raw materials for fine clays. You can use Niobium Silicide NbSi2 in integrated circuits, turbine components and other high-temperature materials.
