molybdenum discs are used as electronic components for power semiconductor heat dissipation, contact materials in silicon controlled rectifier diodes, transistors and thyristors and mounting material for power semiconductor and heat sink bases. We offer molybdenum discs in a variety of sizes, thicknesses and alloys.

Introduction: We have reported the light trapping effect in amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) layer through inserting a layer of periodic molybdenum disc array (MDA) between the a-Si:H and the quartz substrate, which forms a three-layer structure of Si/MDA/SiO2. The MDA was fabricated using a new cost efficient method based on nano-imprint technology. Further light absorption enhancement was achieved through altering the topography of MDA by annealing it at 700degC to obtain miniaturized nanoparticles.

Moreover, we have reported molybdenum target X-ray imaging of the caudal intervertebral disc degeneration in rats using needle puncture and endplate destruction models. We also demonstrated that molybdenum target X-ray can be more effective than conventional plain X-ray imaging and can provide clearer and more precise data. Among the advantages, molybdenum target X-ray photography has better contrast, micro-calcifications are more clearly defined and can provide a greater image resolution than plain X-ray examination.
