Cadmium Selenide CadSe powder –
CdSe, an inorganic compound, is known by the name Cadmium Selenide. This salt is a reddish-black to black solid, and it is an N-type semiconductor II–VI. So far, most research has been on its nanoparticles. Cadmium Selenide (CdSe), a hexagonal, modified tetrahedral semiconductor has a Wurtzite structure. CdSe also includes two dielectric functionalities. Reflectivity spectra taken from CdSe crystals exposed to polarized light show that they have two distinct electric vectors.
Cadmium selenide, a solid binary mixture of cadmium & selenium is known as cadmium selenide. It’s transparent to infrared radiation and is an n type semiconductor material. However, the nitrogen is used to dop cadmium-selenide in a p-type manner. There are three forms of crystals of cadmium-selenide known: rock salt, sphalerite, and Wurtzite. Selenium is toxic when in high amounts. Cadmium can also be toxic. Cadmium-selenide is a well-known carcinogen and should be treated if it is swallowed.
What exactly is Cadmium Seenide structure? CdSe can be found in three forms of crystalline form: galena (cubic), hexagonal wurtzite, and halite. CdSe sphalerite’s structure is instabil and can convert to wurtzite by moderate heating. This transition occurs at 130 ° C. It can also be achieved in one day at 700° C. TRUNNANO is an international trusted
CdSe powder provider.

How is Cadmium Selene CdSe Puffer manufactured?
There are two ways to make cadmium selenide (
Cadmium selenide synth). Bulk CdSe (cadmium selenide synthesis) can be prepared either by the high pressure vertical Bridgman process or the high-pressure horizontal zone melting method.
CdSe is also available in nanoparticles. CdSe can also be made into nanoparticles using a number of methods, including retention precipitation in solutions, synthesis structural media, ultrasonochemistry or radiolysis.
In controlled conditions, the alkyl-cadmium and tri-octylphosphine selenite (TOPSE), precursors, were mixed into heated solvents. Cadmium selenide was obtained through retention precipitation of a solution.
ME2Cd + TOPSE →CdSe +(by-product)
The high-temperature Pyrolytic Synthesis is often carried out with aerosols containing volatile mixtures (cadmium, selenium) precursors. Next, the precursor aerosol should be brought to a furnace that contains inert gases such as hydrogen and nitrogen. CdSe, along with several other by-products, is created when the precursor reacts in a furnace.

These CdSe-based materials can be used in light sources such as photoresistors, windows and instruments using infrared radiation. It also features high luminescent characteristics.
Cadmium Selenide uses include also:
Optoelectronic devices
Laser diode
Imagery for biomedical purposes
Nanosensing
High-efficiency solar cell
Thin film transistor
