How is La2O3 Created? 1. Rare earth nitrate solution is the main raw material. This solution has been removed of cerium and contains around 50% La2O3, trace amount CeO2, 16% to 7% of Pr6O and 30% of Nd2O3. You can extract it from phosphor-cerium lanthanum, lanthanum carbonate and lanthanum nuitrate. Also, it can be obtained by heating the lanthanum-oxalates. 2. La(OH)3 can be placed in a platinum pan, dried at 200 and then burned at 500. Then, decompose the aluminum over 840 to get lanthanumoxide.
